directed by Jon Favreau

Who doesn’t like food? Don’t even try telling me you don’t. Everybody does. Period. I do as well and I also love watching films about food. So when I saw the title “Chef”, I smiled to myself and got ready for a delicious projection. As you may be guessing, the main character is a chef. Surprise surprise! His name is Carl Casper and he works at one of those fancy restaurants. His dishes are basically pieces of art and people need to sell their cars to buy an appetiser. One day he loses his job and decides to buy a truck. To go away and never come back? Not really. To open his own food truck and cook very basic stuff. Why? Well, you need to see the film to understand it. The main character is played by Jon Favreau. I bet most people don’t know who he is by looking at his name, but when you see his face, you can name at least 3 films he played in. He’s a very popular actor and always makes me feel chilled out. This film is what you need when you just want to sit on the sofa, drink some beer, eat popcorn and watch some random guy changing his life completely. Sometimes you need those films when you can just turn off thinking and relax. Still, it isn’t a lame production which makes you cringe for 90 minutes. It’s decent and funny.
